Essential Tips for This Tour
What to Pack
Carry warm woolens even in summer β temperatures drop below 10Β°C in evenings. Pack sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen SPF 50+, sunglasses and a light rain jacket for all seasons.
Altitude Awareness
Rohtang Pass (3,978m) may cause breathlessness. Stay well-hydrated, avoid rushing and consider Diamox tablets (consult a doctor). Our guides are trained to assist with any altitude-related issues.
Mobile Connectivity
BSNL and Airtel work best in Himachal. Jio has limited coverage at higher altitudes. Download offline Google Maps before departure. Always carry a power bank β electricity can be unreliable.
Carry Enough Cash
ATMs are available in Manali town but can run dry. Activity stalls at Solang and Rohtang accept cash only. Keep an extra βΉ3,000β5,000 for activities, shopping and unexpected expenses.
Rohtang Permit
Rohtang requires an online permit (βΉ500/car, applied 24 hrs in advance). Only 1,200 non-local vehicles per day. We handle all bookings for you β completely stress-free!
River Rafting Tips
Beas River rafting is best from April to July (Grade IIβIII, beginner-friendly). Life jackets and helmets are always provided. AugustβSeptember sees heavier water flow β slightly more thrilling!
