Day 1
Chandigarh → Manali
📍 ~310 km · 8–9 hrs drive
Depart from Chandigarh in the early morning. Drive through the beautiful Kullu Valley along the Beas river. Arrive Manali by evening. Check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Manali → Jispa / Keylong
📍 ~155 km · 6–7 hrs drive
Cross the Rohtang Pass (3,978m) and descend into the barren Lahaul Valley. Pass through Gramphu, Sissu, and Tandi. Overnight at Jispa or Keylong — your first taste of the Himalayan high desert.

Day 3
Jispa → Leh via Baralacha La
📍 ~360 km · 10–11 hrs drive
The most scenic day — cross Baralacha La (4,890m), Nakee La, Lachulung La, and the dramatic Tanglang La (5,328m). Drive through Pang plains and arrive Leh. Rest for acclimatisation — very important.

Day 4
Leh Local Sightseeing
📍 Leh City · Acclimatisation Day
Explore Leh at a gentle pace: Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Leh Market, Hall of Fame museum. Walk through the old town. Rest is crucial today to acclimatise to the altitude (3,500m).

Day 5
Leh → Nubra Valley
📍 ~120 km via Khardung La
Cross the world-famous Khardung La Pass (5,359m). Descend into the lush Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery. Enjoy a camel safari on the cold desert dunes of Hunder. Overnight at Hunder.

Day 6
Nubra → Pangong Lake
📍 ~160 km via Shyok River Road
Drive along the stunning Shyok River through remote Ladakhi villages to reach the legendary Pangong Lake (4,225m). Watch the lake change colours from vivid blue to turquoise. Overnight camping at Pangong.

Day 7
Pangong → Leh via Chang La
📍 ~160 km via Chang La Pass
Witness the sunrise over Pangong before departing. Cross the Chang La Pass (5,360m). Visit Thiksey Monastery and Rancho School (3 Idiots filming location) en route. Arrive Leh. Overnight stay.

Day 8
Leh → Tso Moriri Lake
📍 ~240 km · 7–8 hrs drive
Drive south through the Indus Valley and Rupshu plains to the pristine Tso Moriri Lake (4,522m) — a high-altitude wetland teeming with rare migratory birds and wild horses. Overnight at Korzok village.

Day 9
Tso Moriri → Leh
📍 ~240 km · Return via Chumathang
Morning at Tso Moriri — take in the stillness before returning to Leh via the Chumathang hot springs route. Stop at Hemis Monastery — Ladakh's largest and most famous gompa. Overnight in Leh.

Day 10
Leh → Chandigarh (Fly / Drive)
📍 Departure Day
Morning free for shopping in Leh Market — pick up pashmina shawls, thangkas and Ladakhi handicrafts. Depart for Chandigarh by flight or road as per itinerary. Tour ends with memories to last a lifetime.

Before You Go
Essential Travel Tips
Altitude Sickness
Carry Diamox (consult doctor first). Rest on Day 4 in Leh — very important. Drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol in the first 2 days.
Best Time to Visit
June to September is ideal. Roads open mid-May and close late October. July–August is peak season — book early to get best rates.
What to Pack
Thermals, fleece, windproof jacket, sunscreen SPF 50+, sunglasses, lip balm. Temperatures can drop to -5°C at night even in summer.
Network & Cash
Only BSNL works in most of Ladakh. Carry enough cash — ATMs are very scarce beyond Leh city. Inform your bank before travelling.
