Package Overview

Serene Parvati Valley Meets Thrilling Manali

AK Tours & Travel, Chandigarh, brings you this unique 6-day dual-destination package combining two of Himachal Pradesh's most contrasting yet equally stunning locations — the bohemian, river-side tranquility of Kasol in the Parvati Valley and the snow-peaked adventure capital of Manali.

Kasol is known as the "Mini Israel of India" — a tiny village on the banks of the Parvati River, surrounded by dense pine forests and towering Himalayan peaks. It's a haven for trekkers, backpackers and nature lovers. From Kasol, explore Kheerganga trek, Manikaran Sahib hot springs and Chalal village.

From Kasol, we drive to the legendary Manali — where Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, Solang Valley paragliding and Rohtang Pass glaciers await. Two completely different Himachal experiences, one perfectly planned trip.

Package Highlights

Kasol — riverside camping, pine forests & the Parvati Valley charm
Manikaran Sahib — sacred Sikh & Hindu hot spring shrine
Kheerganga Trek (optional) — 12 km trek to natural hot spring at 2,950m
Chalal village trek — short scenic walk through pine forest along Parvati River
Tosh village excursion — remote Himalayan village with stunning valley views
Hadimba Devi Temple Manali — 1,500-year-old pagoda in cedar forests
Vashisht Hot Springs — natural sulphur springs for relaxation

Essential Tips for This Tour

🧥

What to Pack

Warm layers for evenings (even in summer), comfortable trekking shoes for Kasol walks, sunscreen, insect repellent for Parvati Valley, rain jacket and a small daypack for treks.

📱

Mobile Connectivity

BSNL and Airtel work in Kasol. Jio has very limited signal in Parvati Valley — especially beyond Kasol towards Kheerganga. Download offline maps. Power banks are essential in both locations.

💵

Cash is King in Kasol

There is only one ATM in Kasol (often out of cash). Carry enough cash from Bhuntar or Chandigarh. UPI works at some cafes. Cards not widely accepted in Kasol's local market.

🥾

Kheerganga Trek

The 12 km (one way) trek takes 4–5 hours. It requires basic fitness. Carry water, snacks, trekking poles and rain gear. The hot spring reward at the top is absolutely worth it! Book as an add-on.

🏔

Altitude at Rohtang

Rohtang Pass (3,978m) may cause breathlessness. Stay hydrated and go slowly. Our guides assist with any altitude issues. Permit is handled by us — no stress for you!

⚠️

Kasol Respect

Kasol has a mix of local Himachali and Israeli culture. Dress modestly near Manikaran Sahib. Follow "Leave No Trace" principles on treks. Do not litter in the Parvati River — it's a protected zone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions? We Have Answers.

How far is Kasol from Chandigarh?
+
Kasol is approximately 240 km from Chandigarh, taking about 6–7 hours by road. The route goes via Bilaspur, Mandi and Bhuntar. The last 30 km from Bhuntar to Kasol is through the stunning Parvati Valley — narrow mountain road with magnificent scenery. We depart early morning to arrive comfortably by afternoon.
Is Kheerganga Trek included in the package?
+
The Kheerganga Trek is an optional add-on, not included in the base package. It's a 12 km (one way) full-day trek requiring an overnight stay at the top (basic tents/camps available). We can arrange this as an add-on for ₹1,500–2,000 per person including basic tent accommodation. Please mention this in your booking enquiry.
What is the accommodation in Kasol like?
+
Kasol offers unique riverside camps and guesthouses — wooden cottages or tents right on the Parvati River bank. These are basic but charming, with clean attached bathrooms and beds. It's part of the Kasol experience! For those preferring more comfort, we can arrange better guesthouses. In Manali, we stay in standard 3★ or 4★ hotels.
Is Kasol safe for solo female travellers and couples?
+
Yes, Kasol is generally safe for all travellers. It's a well-known tourist destination with a friendly vibe. As with any mountain destination, it's advisable to avoid walking alone at night on remote trails. Our guided tour ensures you're always with a knowledgeable local guide, making the trip safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Can this be a honeymoon package?
+
Absolutely! The combination of Kasol's romantic riverside setting and Manali's mountain grandeur makes this an excellent honeymoon destination. We arrange riverside cottage stays in Kasol, flower-decorated rooms in Manali, candlelight dinners, couple activities and personalised romantic touches. Mention "Honeymoon" in your enquiry form.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
+
Cancellation 15+ days before travel — 90% refund. 8–14 days — 70% refund. 4–7 days — 50% refund. Less than 3 days — no refund. Travel insurance is included in your package. Free date changes up to 7 days before travel, subject to availability.
